Episode 1
In this episode we get introduced to our main characters. It starts off with Devon’s POV. Devon is gaming at home with a friend who was supposed to be his college roommate. When the friend says they can no longer be Devon’s roommate, Devon makes a post online on a school group page to find a roommate. Then we cut to Hani’s room. Hani finds the post and remembers him from being friends in middle school before Hani’s family moved, so they decide to be his roommate. They celebrate with their sister over it but their mom is worried that Hani is being too trusting just because they used to be friends. Hani says they’re sure they’ll both go back to being best friends and stay that way. We skip forward in time to when Hani is moving in. The two meet eye to eye and have a love at first sight moment as they realize they both aren’t the awkward middle schoolers they used to be. Then they start to move Hani in together. Devon finds a pride flag in one of the boxes. Hani feels worried about Devon not being accepting but he reveals he’s pan and Hani feels relieved. They hang it up, go to bed, and have breakfast in the morning.
Episode 2
The two finish breakfast. Devon gets curious to know what Hani is like since they’ve been separate for a while. They take the time to finally catch up. Hani shares that they are very into pop music with idol groups and the whole fandom culture behind it. Devon is not very knowledgeable on it, but he is supportive. Hani mentions they’d like to go to a concert one day. Hani asks what Devon is into and Devon being autistic can barely hold back as he excitedly talks about his favorite video game series. He stops himself as he realizes he’s in a rambling mode and worries he might have bored Hani. Hani dispels that worry as they say they’d love it if Devon shows them how to play. He happily agrees. Of course when video games are abound in romance it’s only a matter of time before their hands touch. Devon is showing Hani how to play and he puts his hands over Hani’s to help and Hani practically explodes with blush. Devon apologizes for touching Hani without asking and Hani tells Devon it’s okay while still knocked out from blush.
Episode 3
It’s time for classes to begin. Devon says goodbye to Hani as Hani leaves and Devon stays in bed a little longer. Later he meets up with his friends and they get on the topic of dating. One of Devon’s friends, Nathan, asks Devon if he’s dating anyone and without prompt he brings up that Hani is only his roommate. Devon is not admitting he likes Hani even to himself, but his friends start to suspect he might like them. Now we go to Hani’s day. Hani says goodbye to the sleepy Devon and makes their way to class. Hani talks to their friend, April, about having a roommate. April freaks out that he could’ve been homophobic, but Hani calms her by telling her that Devon is pan. April shifts gears and asks if he’s cute. Hani admits he’s cute, but acknowledges they can’t do anything about it because it could make the roommate situation awkward if it went wrong and they need a place to live. At the end of the day, Devon comes home and finds Hani already asleep because they had an early class. Devon cooks them both dinner and Hani wakes up later to join him. Hani thinks to themself that it’s going to be really hard to not fall in love with him.
